LYING is one behavior that is avoided by the parents in front of their children. But the reality is, many parents often lie to their children. Why?

A study of the families in the United States and China concluded that most parents lie to their children as a way to reinforce the desired social behavior. The most common lie is that parents threatened to leave their children alone in public unless they can behave well, reported the BBC.

Children are also often told, they will tall when eating broccoli. This was done in an effort to encourage healthy lifestyles son. Beyond that, parents also lied to the children that they would be blind if not accustomed to eating certain vegetables. That's according to a study published in the International Journal of Psychology.

Researchers from the department of psychology at the University of California San Diego, United States, Zhejiang Normal University, Jinhua in China and the University of Toronto, Canada, found that many parents do tactical lies in the United States and China, where it was launched so that their children think and behave. The study involved approximately 200 families.

Another common Lie to parents in both countries is a false promise to buy toys if their children can be good. This was done in order to motivate the parents of their children while protecting their children's feelings to remain positive behavior.

The researchers concluded that this study raises the result of "an important moral question for parents which is why parents are always lied to her in order to smooth the idealist." So that was reported by the Times of India.
